As a “generalist” with many skills, Rebecca Wood wears many hats! First and foremost, she’s a passionate herbalist and ethnobotanist. She’s also a Certified Natural Health Professional with a masters degree in Education, e-RYT 500 hour advanced Yoga Teacher, facilitator of Complete Health Improvement Program, Integrated Body Alignment practitioner specializing in myofascial release and Thai massage, Reiki Master, and Ordained Minister for the Church of Radiant Lights.

Coupled with her career in integrative wellness, she taught college-level courses for 22 years. These include Permaculture & Sustainable Design, Natural Resource Management, and Herbal Studies. Her unique accomplishments in education include: creating and coordinating a Central America study-abroad program for 10 years, designing an Herbal Studies program, and co-coordinating the Eco-tourism CASS curriculum.

Recently retired from public education, Rebecca offers her services as a health practitioner, incorporating yoga, holistic nutrition, fitness, and lifestyle consulting. She coordinates Holistic Journeys, a multicultural eco-wellness experience throughout Central America. She strives to cultivate “a sense of place and a spirit of hope” and believes that personal action leads to positive change.

From Wild Food to Functional Fitness, Rebecca offers educational programs and speaks at many local and regional events.
